Assignment #13 - Transform - "Long Day"

This is the phot that I chose to submit for Assignment #13 - Transform. This photo was originally taken in color but I felt that the picture would have a deeper feel to it viewing it in black and white. This photo was taken of a woman crossing the street in the the Bronx after what seems to be the start of a long day. The background scenery seems to add to the rugged feel of the photo.

Assignment #11 - Emotional Movement - "Runner's Stride"

This is my photo I chose to submit for Assignment #11. This photo was taken of a runner at the ING Half Marathon a couple weeks ago in downtown Atlanta. She was striding so fast into the finish line that it looked as though she was gliding on air. I had to use a faster shutter speed to stopp her action in mid stride. It turned out to be a great photo.

Assignment #4 - Portrait - "Parent's Night"

This is my submission for Assignment #4. This is a photo of my parents that was taken at my cousin's wedding a few months ago. This was a great photo because is shows another side of my parent that gets lost in the daily shuffle of life.

Assignment #10 - Atmospheric Space - " Above it All"

This photo is my submission for Assignment #10, representing Atmospheric Space. This photo was taken from a cliff on the coast of Catalina Island. This photo emphasizes the space that is created by the exspansive ocean and sky rather than any objects within the photo.
